Meet the family behind 270 Winchester Lane

Hi, I’m Yancy. 270 Winchester Lane sits on land near Bogard, Missouri, that has been in our family for generations. I grew up on the farm, and our family has been sharing the farmhouse with guests since 2022. I know this area from growing up here, hunting at Bunch Hollow, and trips into Carrollton, including River Bottoms Brewing on the square.

Why we share the farmhouse

We host so that others can enjoy what I got to growing up on the farm. We hope you’ll:

  • Make family memories: kids at the pond and evenings around the fire pit.
  • Enjoy the countryside: open views, deer and turkeys, sunsets, sunrises and a sky full of stars.
  • Feel at home: a clean, well-stocked house where you can cook, do laundry, and settle in.

One of my favorite memories is fishing in that same pond since I was a little boy. Now our guests’ kids get to do the same.

How we host

Hosting is a family effort. We stock the kitchen and keep the fishing gear ready, and during your stay we’re a message away through your booking. You can contact us before you book, read what past guests say, or check dates and book.

“Yancy was very responsive during my stay. I can’t wait to come back!” (Guest, April 2026, Airbnb)

How these guides are written

Our area guide and nature guide are written by us, with help from research tools, and checked before they go live.

  • First-hand where we can: when we’ve been somewhere ourselves, we say so.
  • Official sources for the rest: facts such as hours, closures and acreage come from official pages, like the Missouri Department of Conservation and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. They’re listed at the bottom of each guide.
  • Dated and updated: each guide shows when its facts were last checked, and we update them when things change.
